Robert Lustyik is a highly decorated twenty-four-year veteran of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, specializing in Counterintelligence and Counterterrorism. Expertly skilled in all tradecraft methods involving Counterintelligence operations up until his retirement in 2012. He is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades from almost every intelligence agency, including the CIA, NSA, NRO, NCIS, 902 US Military Intelligence, JSOC, as well as foreign intelligence services.

 In 2006 Bob was named Federal Law Enforcement Officer of the Year.
In 2012 Bob’s life took a turn allowing him to now, almost a decade later have a unique perspective and with lived experience regarding the US Prison system, systemic racism, and Prison Reform\Abolishment. Bob has a keen insight on conflict in the justice system, legal inequities for the incarcerated, and the role of legal advocacy in prison activism.
Due to his expertise and now his lived experience on both sides “of the wall” Bob brings a new expertise stemming from his 8-year journey through a myriad of county, state and federal prisons and the effects that incarceration has on justice-impacted individuals and especially their families.
As a speaker, life coach, mentor, justice and reform activist, and trained suicide prevention counselor, Bob can speak to the unique and devastating mental and emotional damage people suffer due to incarceration and how to counsel a newly release individual fighting PTSD. Bob is able to speak about why there is such a divide between many of our communities and law enforcement today based upon his extensive discussions and experiences with individuals representing those in law enforcement and those affected by incarceration.
